2015 SusChem Brokerage event

We are proud to announce  that the 2015 SusChem Brokerage event was successfully held in October 6th in Brussels at the Sheraton Brussels Hotel

The event was attended by 110 participants including many of our stakeholders such as  Dr. Reinier Grimbergen, Board Member of Suschem who gave a brief Introduction, Ms. Clara de La Torre, Director Key Enabling Technologies at DG Research and Innovation, Jyrki Suominen, Deputy Head of Unit DG Research and Innovation/Advanced Materials and Nanotechnologies, Carmine Marzano, Program Officer-DG Research and Innovation/ Advanced Manufacturing Systems and Biotechnologies and Manuel Gomez Herrero, Policy Officer-DG GROW-Resource efficiency and raw materials. Before the start of the Project Idea Sessions, Jacques Komornicki, the Secretary of SusChem ETP, was glad to mention the SusChem priorities of the 2016-2017 Work Programmes.

During the event, Ms. Clara recalled the importance of the role the Chemical Industry is playing within the European Innovation landscape, providing a variety of strategic views on Horizon 2020 and other funding instruments. The rest of the speakers were keen to bring more information on the 2016 calls in their respective fields as well as some hints on how to prepare a good project proposal.

The event continued with the presentation of the seven chemical companies followed by two NTP representatives (both from Spain and UK) which presented on behalf of their companies from their respective countries. In addition, two SME, ten RTOs and academic institutions presented their project ideas.
